what's the reason?

I have some good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first? Ok. I will give you the bad news first. We are losing one of our devotional writers for this coming year. I know, I know it stinks for us. But God is doing some amazing things in her career so she is moving to the ATL where she will be getting a fresh start. I tried to con her into staying but she couldn't.

Because she has finally graduated from school and moving on to her career goal she will be very busy. All that is good news along with the fact that she still might be able to write a devotional every other month. We will be losing a great writer as she moves into a new phase in her life. Please help me to congratulate Gayann in her new and fresh start as she moves to Atlanta. You will be greatly missed. Much love from the devotional writing team and our readers.

I will make this short because I know some of you are out of town and still in the Christmas spirit. And some of us didn't have such a great Christmas but thats okay because I feel you on that one to. Not everyone has a Christmas like we all would like but thats okay. Because in all the shopping, the lights, the presents, the commercials, the songs, and all the food it seems like sometimes the real reason for why we celebrate Christmas seems to get lost. Do you know the reason for celebrating Christmas? Thats right. You got it. And for those who didn't know (and thats okay because I didn't know the reason for this season until a few years ago) I will tell you. The reason we have Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born over 2000 years ago through a virgin named Mary. This was a supernatural birth which began the process of our salvation which we have been talking about for the last 4 weeks. If you did not have the Christmas you have hoped for or even if you did, remember that our Savior was born so that we all would be saved and spend eternity with Him. That means forever!!! If you have not made Him Lord over your life do so right now and if you already have be happy in the fact that He was born for us and made a way for our eternal salvation. His birth was for us as it says in the book of Luke chapter 2 in the bible..."TO YOU is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord." He was born for YOU. Don't forget it. Have a great week.
