Salvation occurs differently in the lives of Christians. I got saved when I was five years old. Being saved to me means that you accepted Jesus Christ in your life. You repent of your sins and God has washed them away. Being saved is the first step in your relationship with God. The salvation is the most important step because you are stepping into a new life. This life is led by God's directions. Our salvations exemplifies our commitment to God because we said "yes" to Him. When we become saved, we become separated from this world and join God's family. We should not forget our salvation and commitment to God. Do you remember when you first said "yes" to Him?
This Holiday season can give us many distractions from our commitment to God. We can get so wrapped up into the busy Christmas season. We can forget that God is number one in our life and treat Him like number twelve. I remember when I first said "yes" to God at the age of five. I accepted God into my life with my parents as my uncle led us into the prayer of salvation. Even at that early age, I knew the importance of my salvation and never took it for granted. We renew our salvation to God by not forgetting His presence in our lives. We can spend time with Him in many ways such as reading His Word, singing praises to Him, giving thanksgiving or worshipping Him and more. This Christmas season lets spend more time acknowledging our love to God more than ever before. Even the season designated to celebrate His son's birth, we can forget to talk to Him. God loves us so much and we love Him. Through our salvation, we first show our love to Him. Lets us never forget our commitment to Him by never allowing the importance of salvation fade away. God bless and Have a Merry Christmas!!! Brittany
