perseverance

Perseverance is an excellent quality to obtain. I have used this quality many times in my life especially for school and dealing with my parents and friends. God explained the importance of perseverance in James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." God says that we will face trials , pressure and temptations. During these trials, we should not give up or give into temptations. We should persevere through the rough waters and trust God. In Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." When we persevere, we are putting faith and trust in God. When we put our faith in God, we say to Him" I trust you God and I put my faith in you." By persevering, God comes to our rescue by giving us the knowledge and tools to defeat the devil. The knowledge and tools comes from His Word. That is why it is vital that we read our Bible. Our faith grows as we persevere. During this 21-day fast, let's preserve and rely on God's strength and wisdom to complete our personal fast. You do not have to fast for the entire 21 days, but 3, 7 or 10 days. Ask God what does He want you to fast? (He will tell you.)

Perseverance helps me everyday. It keeps my mind at ease. God does not reward quitters but victors. When we are victors then we can show others how to be victorious as well. The last year of high school was the toughest year for me. I had millions of projects to do and not enough time to complete them. I felt overwhelm with my busy school schedule, after school activities, church activities and more. In October, I had four major lab projects to do for AP Biology plus the other assignments. I felt stress try to come over me. I felt anxiety try to plague my mind. I called on God because I felt like giving up. I felt like dropping out of the IB program to complete a regular high school curriculum with no AP or IB classes. But God told me to preserve and not give up. God gave me supernatural strength and wisdom to complete my rigorous IB curriculum. I thank God for giving me strength. My faith grew supernaturally. My perseverance to not give up helped build my character stronger and wiser than before. Perseverance rocks!
