I know the bible may seem like a lame book at times, but its really not. God gave us a part of Himself in that book. He gave us something from Him so that we can see what men and women (us) are supposed to do on earth as a whole. The bible says 'every scripture is inspired by God'. That means that all the verses came from God. Was it written by men? Yes, but it was men who God had to use to write His message for us. So, He spoke to men and women and they wrote down what He told them. Did you know that He can talk to you? His word (or the bible) is Him talking to you. Once you get a hold of what He is saying in the bible you will start hearing him speaking to you personally. It will be what the bible calls a 'still small voice' but you will be able to hear Him because you took the time to read what He said to other men. This is real stuff. Wouldn't you want to hear from Him? It takes practice and time but it's so worth it. He will talk to you about things that others missed to tell you in life and He will lead you into adventures you never thought possible. I am serious. Read the bible and look at all the fun and dangerous stuff His people did. It will shock you and inspire you to live an exciting life led by God's voice.
